The Retirement Fund for Religious Appeal collection helps communities of men and women religious provide for the health care and living expenses of their aging members. For many decades, these men and women of God labored in our schools, parishes, colleges, hospitals, orphanages, shelters, and soup kitchens. Their selfless service was for others rather than future security. Now it is our opportunity to assist them.
Many religious communities now have a majority of members over the age of 70 and inadequate financial means for the costs of living and health care. In the United States, the annual cost of skilled nursing and assisted living for frail religious exceeds $450 million.
